Glasgow Sculpture Studios
Glasgow Sculpture Studios exists to promote the development of sculpture and to help artists create a professional and sustainable career. With members whose experience and skills are as varied as the work they create, Glasgow Sculpture Studios supports an exploration of what contemporary sculpture is.

Glasgow Sculpture Studios was set up by Glasgow-based artists in 1988 |
Today, housed in the A-listed, historic Briggait building in the city centre, Glasgow Sculpture Studios is still the only cross-practice facility of its kind in the West of Scotland. It's members are involved in projects locally, nationally and internationally.
Glasgow Sculpture Studios is a one stop resource for artists where members can apply to rent private studios on a long-term basis as well as hire space and equipment on a flexible hourly, daily or monthly rate. Library and IT resources are also available for use.
With a wide membership, Glasgow Sculpture Studios is an excellent resource for anyone wanting to commission an artist. They act as a link between client and artist, advertising and managing projects for individuals or organisations throughout the city and beyond. Previous projects include the commission of an art work for Strathclyde Fire Brigade in 2001 ( Kenny Hunter’s Citizen Fire fighter in 2001).
Glasgow Sculpture Studios runs a range of projects which develop skills and opportunities for artists through dedicated technical and professional development classes, residencies and an exhibition programme. Glasgow Sculpture Studios also encourages participation in creativity in the wider community by delivering a diverse and engaging education programme. Evening and weekend classes are open to all members of the public.
