Disability Arts Fund Scottish Arts Council Creative Scotland Awards Professional Development
= Fast-track for applications (accepted throughout the year).
The deadline for this fund in the current financial year has now passed.
Information on funding opportunities in 2009/10 will be published here as soon as it is available.
The Scottish Arts Council Creative Scotland Awards - funded through the National Lottery - support Scotland's leading artists working in any artform. The awards provide a unique opportunity for artists to experiment and realise imaginative ideas in a major project.
Following a review of the Creative Scotland Awards, the Scottish Arts Council suspended the awards for 2007/08. The Scottish Arts Council intends to report on the review early 2009. In the meantime, opportunities to recognise and support talent and outstanding creative ideas will be considered within the overall development for the new organisation.
Please see the Creative Scotland Awards website for updates and examples of successful projects.
There are no deadlines for applications for this fund. Applications for projects starting before 31 March 2009 will be accepted at any time, but must be submitted 4 weeks before the project start date.
For projects starting after 31 March 2009, full details of our 2009/10 funds will be published here as soon as it is available.
This fund offers assistance for individual artists in most artforms* to undertake professional development activities relevant to their artistic practice, with priority being given to proposals which will lead to enhanced performance and creative skills. - workshops
- conference fees
- master-classes
- mentoring
- other experiences which lead to improved professional skills
- travel to see work
- undertaking research
- establishing contacts and partnerships
- exploring opportunities for future projects
- where an international partnership is being developed with a benefit in Scotland, a Scottish based organisation may apply for support for an individual to visit Scotland.
Minimum £75 – maximum £2,000

Please note:
* Fo r individual visual artists - support is now available through the Creative and Professional Development fund.
