Dance funding priorities - what funds are available?

Creative development

Fund name	Description	Deadline
Creative Development	Support for independent choreographers to research and develop ideas for new work. You must be based in Scotland. Maximum grant £8,000 for established artists; £2,000 for emerging artists who have not previously received Scottish Arts Council funding.	The deadline for this fund in the current financial year has now passed.  Information on funding opportunities in 2009/10 will be published here as soon as it is available.

Please note:
The Scottish Arts Council will not normally fund productions through project funding that are programmed to appear at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival or Edinburgh International Festival only.  Tours which include these festivals are eligible but the festival appearances must be part of a larger Scottish tour.  The majority of performances must happen outside of the festivals.
