Fibres of the Sea
The film was a collaboration between fibre artist Jeanette Sendler and filmmaker Eveline Nicolette during the Craft Residencies in the Highlands 2004.
The film explores the textile artist in her studio at Freswick Castle, Caithness. 'Fibres of the Sea' portrays the landscape and shows the fibres (wool, goat, hair, plant fibres, seaweed) which have been taken from the land and transformed by the artist into textiles.
